San Marino

After a 4 hour bus ride we have recently arrived at San Marino, which is in the Republic of San Marino, an independent country but highly connected to Italy.  It is one of the smallest but richest countries with no public debt).  This city couldn’t be further in style than what we recently seen.  It is high in the mountains near castles in a picturesque medieval town.  It isn’t overwhelmed with tourists we almost feel like we have the town to ourselves.  I took a quick walk around this very small town and will hopefully make it to the castle in the morning.  This is going to be a quick trip for we leave at 9 in the morning.  If we make it up in time we will look at the castle and pick up a local bottle of moscato wine which is the best sweet white wine I have ever tasted.

So now you are all caught up- it is about 2 am here when posting but hope you are enjoying our trip through Italy!
