We had a free morning in Florence to recover from the previous evenings frivolity, so we wanted to try to catch a few of the sites we missed but unfortunately the lines to see the original David and the Birth of Venus painting (which were at two different locations) were huge so Robert, Shirley and my mom climbed the 400+ steps of the bell tower while Judy and I decided we would enjoy a true Italian moment with a cup of coffee and a pastry in the square. We figured Robert was taking the video camera so no need as he would bring the view to us. Since we had more time we headed back to the gold and leather stores to do a bit of shopping before hopping in the bus headed for Venezia (aka Venice).
